How to Join — Membership Guidelines
MEMBERSHIP FEE: $100.00 Annually
There are three (3) ways to become a member in the Auburn Football Lettermen Club:
Lettermen Football Players
Any person awarded a football letter by the Auburn University Athletic Department, as per the requirements determined by the Athletic Department to earn such a letter, shall be eligible to become a member upon acceptance and compliancewith the provision of the AFLC By-Laws.
The spouses of deceased members shall remain as a member of the AFLC provided that their deceased spouse was a member in good standing at the time of death. This eligibility for membership in the AFLC will only apply to the spouse who is legally married to the member at the time of his death and will not apply to any previous spouses. This memberbship cannot and will not be passed on to children, grandchildren or any other heirs of the member’s estate or the estate of his surviving spouse. All surviving spousal members of the AFLC will fall under the category of an Honorary member.
Associate Members
Any former football player of Auburn University who did not receive a letter by reason of injury or lack of playing time but who otherwise was a member in good standing of the football team through the eligibility period of his class. Associate Membership also requires the recommendation of three or more active voting members and shall require the affirmative vote of a majority of the Board of Directors.
NOTE: Not more than six (6) Associate Members shall be elected in any one calendar year of the club.
Honorary Members
A person, who over their lifetime, has demonstrated continuous, faithful and unselfish support to the Athletic Deparatment and the Auburn University football program shall be eligible for Honorary Membership upon the recommendation of three or more active voting members and shall require the affirmative vote of a majority of the members of the Board of Directors.
Note: Not more than three (3) Honorary Members shall be elected in any one calendar year of the club.
All applications for Associate or Honorary Membership shall be submitted to the Membership Committee which will be reviewed and a recommendation submitted to the Board of Directors. Membership applications are due no later than January 15th of each year.
